About The Field:
Saved-Finished
James grew up in a nominal Christian family in the Nuer tribe. During the Sudanese civil war, he became separated from his family as a refugee. By God’s providence, the UN brought him as a teenager to America, where he was invited to church by his sign language interpreter and learned the gospel. After being saved, he received training at a Bible college.
Return To Africa
During a visit to family, James saw the need to teach Deaf people who came to meet him about salvation from an eternity in hell. Step-by-step, he taught them their ABCs, basic vocabulary from the Bible, and then discipled those who responded to the Lord. After making several tips at his own expenses, James left 4 young in charge in order to be commissioned as a missionary under IPM.
Ethiopia And Beyond
Brother Nyoach has a unique outreach in the refugee camps on the Ethiopian border of S. Sudan. He has evangelized Deaf people and discipled Deaf leaders among the refugees with the aim of establishing a local church. The local government school calls on him to tutor Deaf students on a voluntary basis.
James, his wife Sarah, and their family impact the region of Gambella with the gospel by reaching the Deaf scattered among 4 refugee camps. Their ministry is expanding as hearing family members of Deaf people are also becoming saved! Please pray for the Nyoach family.
